Builder Terms of Collaboration
1. Introduction
These Builder Terms ("Terms") govern participation in the MicroBuilder.dev platform ("MicroBuilder", "we", "our"). By accepting a project or joining the platform as a Builder ("you"), you agree to these Terms.
Builders are independent contractors, not employees or agents of MicroBuilder.
2. Builder Responsibilities
Builders agree to:
- Deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines.
- Communicate promptly and professionally with MicroBuilder and Clients.
- Maintain confidentiality of all Client and platform information.
- Follow MicroBuilder's scoping, review, and delivery processes.
- Avoid direct solicitation of Clients outside the platform for 90 days after project completion.
3. Communication and Follow-Up
- All Client communication must be conducted through MicroBuilder's approved channels (email, workspace, or designated project thread).
- Builders may not contact Clients directly outside of MicroBuilder for new or follow-up work.
- MicroBuilder may review communication logs for quality assurance or dispute resolution.
- After project completion, ongoing support or optimization requests must be initiated by Clients via MicroBuilder.dev or official email.
4. Payment and Commission
1. Platform Fee & Payout Structure
MicroBuilder retains a platform fee based on the type of work:
- Tier Builds (Starter, Mini, Full, Custom): 25% platform fee
- Add-ons (Small, Medium, Large): 20% platform fee
The remaining balance is paid to the assigned builder after Stripe releases funds to MicroBuilder's account. Builders are paid within 5 business days of Stripe's payout date.
2. Work Commencement
Builders are expected to begin work on assigned projects as soon as reasonably possible after the project is confirmed and the client's payment has been received by MicroBuilder, even if Stripe funds have not yet been transferred to MicroBuilder's account.
Builders acknowledge that MicroBuilder acts as the payment intermediary and that funds may remain in Stripe's processing period for several business days. Work should commence based on the project confirmation, not on receipt of payout.
MicroBuilder will notify builders when a project is ready to begin and will provide the relevant scope and materials. Builders agree to deliver the work according to the agreed tier, scope, and timeline.
Payouts are issued once Stripe releases funds to MicroBuilder, in accordance with the payout policy described in the Builder Add-on & Payout Policy section.
3. Payouts
- Builder payouts are issued after MicroBuilder receives cleared funds from the Client's payment provider (e.g., Stripe).
- Builders will be notified once a payout is approved and scheduled.
- MicroBuilder is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment providers, verification processes, or banking institutions.
- As the platform grows, MicroBuilder may implement automated payouts through Stripe Connect for faster disbursements.
4. Refunds
- If a refund is issued to a Client, MicroBuilder may deduct or reclaim corresponding amounts from Builder payouts.
- Disputes will be handled fairly and transparently.
5. Ownership and Intellectual Property
- Builders assign all Client-specific deliverables to the Client upon full payment.
- Builders retain ownership of reusable, generic components (e.g., internal utilities, snippets, or libraries).
- Builders grant MicroBuilder a license to reuse anonymized templates or project structures for future builds.
6. Support and Maintenance
- Builders provide post-launch support for 30 days after delivery (for bug fixes and small adjustments).
- Any extended support or optimization work is arranged through MicroBuilder, not directly with Clients.
7. Independent Contractor Status
Builders operate as independent professionals. They are not employees or representatives of MicroBuilder and are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and equipment.
8. Termination
MicroBuilder may suspend or remove Builders who:
- Deliver incomplete or poor-quality work,
- Breach confidentiality or intellectual property rules, or
- Circumvent the platform by contacting Clients directly.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Gothenburg, Sweden.

11. Builder Add-on & Payout Policy
Overview
MicroBuilder offers fixed-price Add-ons for small post-delivery feature requests from clients. Add-ons provide a simple, predictable way to handle minor extensions without requiring full custom quoting.
Add-on Tiers & Pricing
- Small Add-on – $150 (approx. 1 hour of work)
- Medium Add-on – $300 (approx. 2 hours of work)
- Large Add-on – $600 (approx. 3–4 hours of work)
These prices are client-facing. MicroBuilder retains a platform fee of up to 20% of the paid amount to cover processing, Stripe fees, and administration. The remaining balance is payable to the assigned builder.
Builder Acceptance
When an Add-on is requested, the builder may:
- Accept and complete the work as described within the Add-on scope, or
- Decline the Add-on if it exceeds the normal time or complexity limits.
Builders should complete accepted Add-ons within a reasonable timeframe (typically 2–5 business days depending on tier).
Scope & Limits
Add-ons cover small, contained improvements such as:
- One additional page, form, or chart
- One new integration endpoint
- A small data export/import feature
- Minor dashboard or workflow enhancements
Add-ons do not cover major feature rewrites, authentication changes, multi-API projects, or AI/LLM integrations. Such requests are re-scoped as Custom Extensions with separate quotes.
Payout Timing
Payouts for Add-ons occur after Stripe transfers funds to MicroBuilder's connected account.
Once payment is received from Stripe and the client confirms completion, MicroBuilder processes the builder payout within five (5) business days of the Stripe payout date.
Payouts are sent via the builder's chosen payment method (e.g., bank transfer, Wise, PayPal).
Disputes & Adjustments
If a builder believes an Add-on is mis-scoped or requires substantially more work than described, they must flag the issue within 24 hours of accepting the task. MicroBuilder may then:
- Re-quote the Add-on as a Custom Extension, or
- Refund the client and cancel the Add-on.
Revisions & Communication
Minor fixes or adjustments within 7 days of Add-on delivery are included. Further revisions may be treated as new Add-ons.

This policy ensures Add-ons remain predictable for clients while protecting builder time and ensuring timely, transparent payouts after Stripe releases funds.
